Any Mac Fans Out There?

No, you don't need to be a Mac fan, but it doesn't hurt!

We are looking for help converting the following two sites to Drupal

http://macreviewzone.com (MRZ)
http://macspeedzone.com (MSZ)

Test sites can be viewed at

http://drupal.macreviewzone.com
http://drupal.macspeedzone.com

In terms of theme, we plan on going with Garland as our base theme for both sites, but doing some minor tweaks to accommodate our logos. Our budget is around $8,000.

We need help with the following:

1. Setting up a shared database or some other method of sharing data between the two sites. As an example, the latest iMac reviews and "best price" info from MacReviewZone would show up on a MacSpeedZone page with iMac speed benchmarks.

2. Single sign on between the two sites. I set up shared user tables, but users still have to log in to each site separately.

3. Several custom views/content types that present as cleanly as possible a large amount of data.
a. "Buyer's Guides" for tracking Machine prices.
b. Machine specification pages (perhaps allowing users to compare any two or three machines on the fly) for individual models and machine families (eg MacBook Pros)
c. Machine performance information for individual models and machine families. We enter raw numbers and bar charts get generated automatically. Again, it would be cool if users could generate their own comparisons.
d. Front pages for both sites
e. ???

We did a few mock-ups here http://macspeedzone.com/test.php but are quite open to other/better ways of presenting data.

4. Lots of recycling of content within and between sites.
a. MRZ reviews and "best buy" information show up on MSZ performance & stats pages
b. MSZ performance data and specifications show on MRZ buyer's guides

5. Customizing Garland to fit our logo and theming SimpleMenu to improve readability.

Here is what we have done so far:

Installed Drupal and set up shared user tables, set up initial taxonomy for both sites, created custom content type for magazine reviews (themed) and machine specs (not themed yet), set up the modules listed below.

We have the following non-core modules installed:

CCK, Contemplate, FCKeditor, Google Analytics, imagefield, Insert Block, Javascript Tools, Link, News Page, Pathauto, SimpleMenu, Taxonomy Breadcrumb, Token, Update status, userreview, Views, Voting API

Please send us the following if you are interested in taking on this project.
