What is Drupaljob.com, Is it just another monster.com-like headhunter site?
This site is a free Job board for Drupal-Help-Seekers, and Expert Drupal service providers. It’s not intended for commercial headhunters and spammer’s, but rather to be used as a community platform for Drupal site builders requiring paid technical assistance.
Can’t I post on Drupal.org Forums for this?
I think Drupal.org has become too ‘busy’. My intent is to provide a more job- focused site, with finer granularity, less noise, and faster performance. You are welcome to post on both sites. Whatever works for you…
Do you pre-qualify the Expert Drupal service providers on this site?
No, Drupaljob.com does not moderate content, qualify people, or provide an opinion on service providers advertising on this site. We are ‘hands-off’. Anybody can post. Drupal-Help-Seekers are advised to take the logical steps in confirming the reputation of prospective Drupal Experts.
Do you take a cut of any fees paid to Drupal service providers?
No, I don’t want your money. Send me beer.
Does Drupaljob.com provide, or recommend an Escrow Payment Service?
No. But it’s a highly advisable payment arrangement for new job engagements. I suggest you search for some online options.
Your Forums appear confusing. Should I post my job in US$500-$1,500 Drupal Jobs, or Drupal THEME-only Jobs ?
I call it flexibility. Your choice. If you have a THEME job, and you don’t know how much you want to pay, then post in Drupal THEME-only Jobs.
Any Advice for Drupal-Help-Seekers?
Yes. Put maximum time and effort into writing a very professional technical job description, prior to posting. Reference online example URL’s that demonstrate your requirements. Be generous with your budget. Establish milestones and a respective payment schedule. Check 3+ references. Respect that Yahoo! was not built for ~$500.
Any Advice for Drupal-Experts?
Get a written agreement. Get all project changes in writing. Meet deadlines. If you think it will take you 40 hours, in reality, this will become 80 hours. Never Assume!
Can you truly advise me on how to live long and prosper?
Yes. If the Dealer is showing 20, and you’ve been dealt 16, take a card !!! Don't stand! Always go for it! (I used to live in Las Vegas...)
