Lead Developers are gurus who really understand the inner workings of Drupal and use the word code as a verb. They work with our project managers, technical leads and clients to define what it really is we are attempting to do on a given project and implement advanced technical solutions that often involve feats of high-flying integration no one thought possible. They act as mentors to other members of the development team and enjoy showing off their talents through the work they do on behalf of our clients.

Lead Developers are responsible for many aspects of the project delivery process, including the following:

Bringing expert-level coding skills to each project
Coordinating with technical leads and project managers to understand technical issues and work out realistic plans for implementation
Interacting with clients as a technical expert to provide solutions on complicated technical issues
Acting as a mentor to other developers still learning Drupal, sharing technical expertise in order to raise the level of the team
Representing Trellon at technical conferences, our blog, meetups and other forums
The following skills are required for this position:

Drupal expertise, especially in module and theme development
Expert level PHP knowledge
Strong communications skills, including the ability to interact with people over the telephone, though email and using instant messenger
Ability to work independently without the need for constant oversight
People demonstrating expertise in the following areas will be strongly considered:

Contributing to Drupal core
AJAX, CSS and Flash development skills
Linux Server Administration
An eye for graphic design - but who are we kidding! Real coders only know the command line, and that's how it should be
