The ONLINE SITE DEVELOPER will works collaboratively with other developers and designers to develop, launch and maintain projects using Django, the Ellington CMS and other open source environments.

In addition, projects include the research and development of Web 2.0 applications, assuming a lead role for technical aspects of software development projects, plus architecting, developing, coordinating and the implementation of major web-based applications using Python, Django, Postgres and MySQL while following best practices for collaborative development.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated expertise with XHTML/CSS/XML/DOM scripting. Django or Python experience is preferred though having a solid record in using open-source programming languages and a template-based CMS is acceptable. Solid experience working working with databases (MySQL and/or Postgres) and the ability to integrate them with a variety of applications is required. Drupal, PHP, Perl experience a plus. Demonstration of project management skills required. Demonstrable skills in building websites with high scalability / volume requirements. Excellent communication skills required.
