Web Software Engineer - Web Developer | PHP/LAMP/Open Source

We are looking for a solid PHP Web Developer to join our team to work with cool clients. You'll be developing Object-Oriented LAMP-based websites/applications which incorporate designs from our creative team and apply Web 2.0 techniques. Working closely with a lead project engineer, you will be expected to design, architect, and execute projects from start to finish. Work includes scope definition, writing documentation, drafting wireframes, fielding technical questions from clients, engineering solutions to meet specific milestones and deadlines, programming of web applications and associated database queries.

In addition to looking for someone to join our Denver team, we have immediate Drupal projects and will consider experienced independent contractors, local preferred.

Skills: PHP, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, Ajax, MVC Frameworks, OO design and development, PHP Frameworks (CakePHP, Zend, Symfony, CodeIgniter); Javascript Frameworks (Dojo, Prototype, Mootools, JQuery); PHP CMS (Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, etc.); Search Engine Optimization; Web Services, XML/XSLT and SOAP style interfaces, FCK Editor.

Location: Toronto (King & Spadina), Ontario.

Must Have (Required):

* 3+ years building high exposure Enterprise Level websites using PHP (OOP)
* Experience building websites with Drupal (writing modules and theming)

Tripod Technologies, a fast growing company in Cherry Hill, NJ has a full time permanent opportunity for a Senior/Lead Developer. This role requires strong LAMP stack based and DRUPAL based development experience, full life cycle development experience and experience with high volume web sites.

Technical Skills:
* Experience coding web applications in PHP
* Experience with Drupal, including module and theme development.
* Skills in Social Networking products/frameworks such as LinkedIn, FaceBook, or My Space and Google Social - are desired.

Other Skills:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are a must
* Fluency in English is required (both oral and written)
* Ability to work as both a team member and independently
* Ability to write technical papers, reports, client deliverables, and other reports
* Ability to manage and deliver on multiple concurrent project tasks
* Willingness to learn and apply new software development tools, technologies, and methodologies.
