Drupal Programmer - Longterm Freelance Opportunity - NYC

New York City design and event company seeks a seasoned PHP / Drupal Developer to fill an ongoing freelance role of 15-30 hours per week. Candidate must show significant proficiency with LAMP technology and Drupal CMS. Working in-house with our web-team will be required a majority of the time.

QUALIFICATIONS
- A demonstrated ability to implement end-to-end custom Drupal sites
- Strong familiarity with Drupal 4.7 and 5.x
- Experience with MySQL
- Hands-on knowledge of HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript, DHTML, AJAX, and XML
- Knowledge of developing cross platform/browser compatibility in all A-Grade Browsers
- Adherence to web standards and object-oriented programming
- Ability to work on-site in our SoHo offices.
- Flash experience a plus but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coding: Most of your time will be spent developing code. Our application relies heavily on Drupal and its APIs and toolsets. You will be working on a large Drupal multi-site application that uses over 100 modules and has over 100,000 lines of custom code.
  • Technical Decisions: You will be expected to help drive the direction of development for our application and the general technical direction of the company. You will be expected to make and suggest decisions regarding your code and others.
  • Cooperating: We are a team environment, and cooperation and communication are a must. You will be working with other developers, and testers. You will be expected to be well versed with what others are doing and be available to divert your efforts to help others when the need arises.
  • Growing: Last but not least, we expect you to move up. We are a young company with a small workforce. The lines of responsibility are often blurred, and all of our staff are encouraged to try things that may be outside their normal areas of expertise.

    Web Software Engineer - Web Developer | PHP/LAMP/Open Source

We are looking for a solid PHP Web Developer to join our team to work with cool clients. You'll be developing Object-Oriented LAMP-based websites/applications which incorporate designs from our creative team and apply Web 2.0 techniques. Working closely with a lead project engineer, you will be expected to design, architect, and execute projects from start to finish. Work includes scope definition, writing documentation, drafting wireframes, fielding technical questions from clients, engineering solutions to meet specific milestones and deadlines, programming of web applications and associated database queries.

In addition to looking for someone to join our Denver team, we have immediate Drupal projects and will consider experienced independent contractors, local preferred.
